Pi Day, Ag Day, Pizza Day

Yesterday was Pi Day. March 14th. Three fourteen. 3/14 or 3.14. (Everywhere else in the world, it's 14/3, the fourtheenth day of the third month, but hey, "USA, USA!") Which is, sigh, the beginning of Pi, 3.14159 etc, the ratio of circumference to diameter of a circle. Wrote about this last year, so no need to go over it all again. Unless you're a real pi nerd.

AgDay_logo.gifThis year, Pi Day is folloed by, so help me, Ag Day, whose organizers feel we need to be reminded that "agriculture is important."

Which it is, obviously. Without agriculture we would have to eat rocks. Instead, we get to eat pizza (an official AgDay "event,"), which is the synthesis of yesterday and today. Pizzas are round. And they are made with flour (agriculture!) and toppings (tomatoes! cheese! More agriculture!).

After lunch, a nap.
