UPDATE July 25th, 2012: Results are in. Link is at https://www.enofileonline.com

MENLO PARK, Calif.--These were Rhone variety rosés, as I recall. Almost 3,000 wines, some 50 judges. Whew!

Glassware by Eisch, Wir bedanken uns herzlich. Und "glaslich".

Logistics by Rebecca Murphy (@rebeccaonwine), who lives in Seattle and produces wine competitions like this in Texas and now in California. Well done!

Thanks to Paul Wagner of Balzac Communications (consulting judge), Joel Peterson of Ravenswood (honorary chair of the wine makers panel), Tim Gaiser MS of the Court of Master Sommeliers (trade & education panel), and Sara Schneider of Sunset Magazine (journalists panel).

Our thanks also to all the folks at Sunset for their sponsorship and for hosting this two-day event.

As judges, we don't know the names of the wines or the actual medals; results of the judging will be published in the magazine's November issue. But iwneries will be informed within a couple of weeks, so we'll start to see news by the end of the month. .
