Greetings, fellow carnivores!
If you like lamb (and who doesn't?), there's an event next week that you need to attend: the Seattle edition of the American Lamb ProAm.
- Where: Cedarbook Lodge (that's close to the airport in SeaTac).
- What: four chefs, four bloggers, four recipes
- When: 6:30 to 8:30 PM next Wednesday, October 10th
Tickets are normally $25 bucks each, but I've got two to give away. Send me a message on Facebook where everyone can see it, and tell me why you want your tickets so baaaadly. I'll pick a winner by the end of the week.
Suncadia Chef Alex Paguaga and I are grilling up a Moroccan-style boneless lamb, rubbed with coffee, salt, garlic, cumin and rosemary. Sides will depend on what's growing under the flight path. We might add a dollop of minty yogurt. As for matching wine, I'm thinking riesling. (Yes, riesling with lamb. Wanna make something of it?)
Look, if you don't buy tickets and vote for my dish, I'm going to look pretty sheepish. You don't want to see me bleating; it's not a pretty sight.
