Weather's kinda crappy this weekend in Seattle, and I'm getting distracted from writing about whatever it was. Rummaging through my collection of sunny travel photos, I stumble upon this image, from last June at the Torbiere del Sebino (peat bogs) in the Franciacorta region of northern Italy..
"Give me focus," I ask the Universe. Give me the strength, balance, and serenity of the great bird Garuda. Let me be like, you know, James Tidwell. Let me be THAT guy!
Even if he does say, in an email, "Seems pretty funny. A Master Sommelier, while on a tour of a monastery, attempting a yoga pose on an incline exercise bar in a peat bog formed by glacial moraine above an Alpine lake. Don't see that every day."
Indeed. But I'll take serenity wherever it occurs.
