The day after Valentine's

Hey, fans, we know you weren't really paying attention to anything but romance yesterday, so here's what's you missed.

On the left is Jason Stoneburner, the hunky chef at Bastille in Ballard, who won an online quick-fire yesterday to be named Seattle's Hottest Chef by Eater.com. It wasn't part of the prize, but later this year, he gets his very own restaurant. Congrats!

In the center, two cute drinks at Canon: the Hanky Panky (gin, sweet vermouth, Fernet Branca) and a four-year-aged La Bicyclette (more gin, more vermouth, St. Germain). Both quite tasty! Congrats!

And on the right, one of the guiding spirits of Seattle's restaurant revival, Seth Caswell, last seen at emmer & rye on Queen Anne. His new gig was announced today: executive chef at the Kirkland campus of Google, in the food service program managed by Bon Appetit catering company. An enlightened operator, an enlightened choice. Congrats!
