Amateur Hour on Easter Sunday

Easter falls on a Sunday this year, so it's an official Seattle Brunch Day. Here are some places doing special menus:

Leading off is Six Seven at the Edgewater Hotel. The cost is $75 per adult ($45 for children under 12), yet the words "Unlimited Veuve Clicquot" do not appear anywhere on the menu. This is roughly six times what a recent visitor from London paid for a fine lunch at a window table.

  • Capital Grille's brunch is $49.
  • Agrodolce three-course special, $25
  • Local 360, Leg of Lamb special
  • Blueacre, Lobster Eggs Benedict special
  • Even Ray's seafood brunch is $55
  • Even Salty's is under $55
  • Even Palisades brunch is under $50.
Is it any wonder that restaurants consider Easter, along with Mother's Day and Valentine's Day, to be a sort of amateur hour?
